“ The place is far from fancy but the food really excellent. We had a couple of crab dishes, but my favorite were the crayfish breaded with cereal, and the fried buns. Sooo good ”
“ No Sign Board is the witty name of a restaurant offering a huge menu of Singaporean seafood dishes. The specialty is the Singaporean Chili Crab, a whole crab served in a viscous, sweet, and slightly spicy sauce made of egg, tomatoes, and chili. The sauce enveloped the cracked pieces of crab and went nicely with the soft, deep-fried mantou buns on the side. We also had a bunch of other dishes including crispy baby squid in a sticky, spicy sauce; stir-fried vegetables; Singapore rice noodles; steamed whole fish; prawn salad (covered in mayonnaise); and deep-fried fish cakes covered with sesame. Finally for dessert came an icey soup of soursop and white fungus, an acidic, refreshing combination to finish off the meal! ”
“ Nice open air space in Singapore! Heard rumors about the famous Singaporean Pepper Crab and this place did not disappoint. Came here for a late lunch and tried the famous white pepper crab. Overall the ambience, food and service was good. You hear about the crab variations in Singapore about the black and white peppers but this place is more famous for the white pepper version of the sauce. This place has been around for a long time. The crab came out piping hot and they provide guests with plastic gloves if your the germaphobe! White pepper flavors had a nice kick and will clear up your sinuses for sure! Would recommend for the white pepper variant! ”
“ Came here to try the signature white pepper crab and mmmm, was it good! Side note - also ran into a ping pong player on the national China team, so that was cool! A note that the seating is partially outdoors, so not super cool... but not too hot with ample fans and overhead shade. We came at around 5:30PM on a Sunday and were seated promptly. The restaurant was only around 15% full at the time. My parents and I shared the white pepper crab, adding an additional $8 or $12 (I don't remember) for vermicelli to soak up the sauce. It was a great decision, would highly recommend! The white pepper crab reminded me strongly of the Teochew white pepper pig stomach soup... my tummy was completely warmed up after this meal. I actually much preferred the white pepper over the chili crab, and slightly over the black pepper crab. We also ordered two portions of fried bullfrog legs and a sambal kang kong. Both had lots of wok hei - the bullfrog legs also were loaded with fried garlic crisps and a tasty chili / tangy sauce. Very yummy yummy. Was a delicious meal - in fact, we ordered more rice given how well it went with all the dishes! Would recommend this place in a heartbeat. ”
“ Hands down best chili crab for my taste buds ! Spicy , savory , and Mantou the best as well. I've had chili crab several times , but either too sweet or not enough spice. Also you might wanna try the razor clams ! Best ever. Condiments provided also top notch. Enough said , I'm hungry. ”
